Acadian Companies has an immediate opening for a full-time night-shift Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join their team in Lafayette, LA.    Job Summary: Coordination of movement of vehicles and other assets.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  This job description is not intended, nor should it be construed, to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, skills or working conditions associated with the job.  It is intended to be a general description of the essential duties and requirements common to positions of this type and may be subject to change.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Provide support to Ambulance Operations by assigning the correct number of ambulance units each day and by exchanging ambulances in a timely manner when a breakdown occurs 2. Obtain critical information when a unit is involved in an accident/breakdown for both emergency and non-emergency transports 3. Coordinate additional units with a sense of urgency when a breakdown/accident occurs with and without patients onboard 4. Assign maintenance or rebuild tasks to area shops and technicians for ambulance fleet and company vehicles 5. Liaison with contractors and vendors to recover assets that are out of commission   QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma or GED 2. 3-5 years Diesel Mechanic Experience preferred 3. Ability to handle stressful situations; ability to multi-task 4. Ability to learn customized software; MS Office proficiency required 5. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and meet multiple concurrent deadlines independently 6.
