Fonterra Oceania is our newly formed entity that merges the Fonterra Brands New Zealand (FBNZ) and Fonterra Australia operations, aimed at enhancing our competitive position in the trans-Tasman dairy market. We have three FBNZ operated sites in Takanini, Eltham and Palmerston North, and two central distribution centres in Auckland and Christchurch, with the largest chilled foods network across New Zealand. Our Takanini Site has three manufacturing plants - Beverages, Food and UHT, produces around 240,00 MT of product and has an annual Opex spend of approximately 100 Million.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY | MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA

We’re seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Scheduler/Coordinator to join our team. In this permanent role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules and training staff on proper vehicle handling and maintenance procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance schedules for our fleet of trucks
  • Training and mentoring team members on vehicle operations and maintenance protocols
  • Liaising with service providers and technicians to ensure timely completion of maintenance work
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all fleet maintenance activities
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

Please note: This position requires full-time on-site presence with hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

ABOUT YOU | MŌU

The ideal candidate will bring mechanical expertise combined with strong leadership abilities. You’ll need to be completely on-site due to the nature of the role. We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Class 5 licence and hands-on experience driving Class 5 vehicles
  • Proven mechanical background with specific expertise in truck maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to train and develop team members
  • Mechanical aptitude supported by tertiary education in a relevant field
  • Previous experience working directly with trucks and understanding their operational requirements
