Description We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance & Diesel Technician to join our team. As the Fleet Maintenance & Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are in top condition. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of Cummins and CAT equipment with the ability to diagnose and repair issues quickly and efficiently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles such as Front and Rear Concrete Mixers, Dump Truck, and Loader including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on fleet vehicles Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns Troubleshoot any issues with WABCO vehicle control systems and ABS systems Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on fleet vehicles Communicate with management regarding any issues or concerns with fleet vehicles Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies OTHER DUTIES This job description is not designed to cover or contain a full listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent CDL preferred (Hilltop can assist with obtaining license) Completion of a vocational or technical program in automotive repair or related field Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fleet Mechanic or similar role Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicles Preferred experience with Cummins equipment, CAT equipment, and Allison transmissions Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication and interpersonal skills
