Can be set or flexible. FLSA Classification: Non-exempt Fleet & Maintenance Specialist Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; At least 5 years of maintenance experience required.  Fleet & Maintenance Specialist Skills & Competencies: Extensive knowledge and understanding of fleet management and operations; Excellent managerial skills; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to prepare and adhere to a budget and to monitor and reduce expenses; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software; Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed; Ability to plan maintenance schedules for sites and fleet. Fleet & Maintenance Specialist Special Requirements: Travels to off-site locations when appropriate, with mileage reimbursed from the JCOR homesite. Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance. Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. Maintains a valid driver's license and vehicle liability insurance. Operates agency vehicles and personal vehicles while driving for agency business in a safe and lawful manner at all times. Must have reliable transportation.  Fleet & Maintenance Specialist job duties include, but not limited to: * Assists in the evaluation of systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. * Assists in the assessment of building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. * Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. * Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects. * Develops schedules and procedures for and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and non-routine repair of all vehicles in the company’s fleet. * Collaborates with supervisors and staff to manage and reduce expenses such as those for fuel and labor costs. * Establishes a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles. * Assists in the drafting and presentation of reports on maintenance and fleet operations and expenses. * Assists in the development and enforcement of procedures, policies, and safety protocols for all fleet services staff. * Performs other related duties as assigned. * Tracks and maintains documents and data related to specific job duties and responsibilities. * Completes or signs off on various administrative forms to assure timely and accurate data collection in accordance with agency policies and procedures. * Assist maintenance leads with assigned tasks and projects across locations.
