Description Fleet Maintenance Technician Reports to: Lead Engineer Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles. Responsibilities include performing regular diagnostic tests on vehicles, maintaining records of vehicles serviced, and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver who has hands-on experience with various vehicle systems and mechanical/electrical components. They should be able to work independently and adhere to all safety and company protocols. Ultimately, the role of the Fleet Maintenance Technician is to ensure that our fleet of vehicles remains in perfect working condition and safe for use, thereby ensuring the smooth operations of our organization. Responsibilities: • Perform regular diagnostic tests on vehicles. • Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles. • Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, etc., and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues. • Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements. • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with fleet vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the long-term reliability of fleet vehicles. • Order necessary replacement parts for repairs and maintain inventory of commonly used parts. • Conduct road tests to verify the problem has been fixed. • Coordinate with fleet management on maintenance schedules and repair priorities. • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. • Keep the workshop clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment. • All other duties assigned Required Skills/Abilities: • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software. • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues. • Strong organizational skills to manage maintenance schedules and inventory. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions. • Strong attention to detail to work independently and commitment to safety.
