Responsibilities
  • This includes scheduling maintenance and repairs, managing vehicle lifecycles (acquisition to disposal), and ensuring optimal vehicle performance
  • Fleet managers are responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and managing drivers, ensuring they adhere to safety regulations and company policies
  • Managing fuel consumption, negotiating with suppliers, and implementing cost-saving measures are crucial aspects of this role
  • Fleet managers ensure the fleet adheres to all relevant regulations, including licensing, insurance, and environmental standards
  • Fleet managers analyze data related to vehicle performance, driver behavior, and costs to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions
  • Implementing and overseeing safety protocols, conducting training, and promoting a safety-conscious culture are essential
  • Developing long-term strategies for fleet expansion, replacement, and optimization
  • Travel up to 10% of the time
