PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

The Fleet Manager position reports to the Operation Department. We are looking for a fleet manager with a background in transportation to oversee our company’s fleet of vehicles located at various distribution centers around the United States. This role requires traveling between office locations at City of Industry, CA and Las Vegas, NV.
To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in fleet management and good organization skill with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years experience in logistics role.
  • 2+ years experience in supervisory role.
  • Thorough knowledge of safe maintenance practices, DOT, OSHA, and other applicable federal and state regulations.
  • CAFM certification preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams in different locations.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, high energy, initiative and creativity.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and technical skills.
  • Warehouse management experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • BA/BS degree or 5+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology, Automotive, or Fleet sustaining background.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing a fleet of company vehicles located at various distribution centers.
  • Assist in recruiting quality drivers into the fleet.
  • Develop efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
  • Analyze data to increase business operational efficiency.
  • Take the lead in understanding, communicating, and resolving any vehicle issues related to safety, hardware & software failure, or preventative maintenance.
  • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Proficient in strategic sourcing negotiations for purchases of fleet vehicles, equipment, supplies, support services, leasing, and rental agreements.
  • Respond to and manage emergency situations with composure.
  • Seek out new and innovative approaches to enhance the Company’s fleet-related performance.
  • Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
  • Complying with U.S. Department of Transport laws and regulations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
