JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet operations.

SKILLS

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts and industrial equipment.
  • Experience with fabrication techniques and welding processes.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for various repair tasks.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus along with service technician experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of vehicles including tractor-trailers, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery.
  • Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC, and diesel engines.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.
  • Execute tire service, brake repair, alignment, shocks & struts replacement, and assembly of mechanical components.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding vehicle status.
