We’re currently looking for a Fleet Mechanical Sales Representative to join our team and help expand our growing mechanical services division. This dynamic role focuses on driving mechanical sales in our Chicago market, working with both new and existing commercial customers to showcase Pomp’s wide range of mechanical solutions. The individual in this role will also partner closely with our commercial sales team to grow business, strengthen customer relationships, and position Pomp’s as the go-to provider for fleet mechanical service. Comprehensive Benefits – Eligible to enroll in medical, dental, vision at affordable rates Supplemental Benefits – Eligible to enroll in life insurance, Short- & Long-Term Disability, Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, Death and Dismemberment Insurance, and Hospital Indemnity Insurance Retirement Savings – 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off – Holidays, sick time, vacation, and special “Happy Days” for life events available day one Employee Discounts – Save on company products Career Growth – Opportunities for skill development and advancement What You’ll Do: Drive mechanical service sales in the Chicago market by building strong relationships with new and existing commercial customers Collaborate with Pomp’s commercial sales team to expand mechanical business opportunities across customer fleets Promote and sell Pomp’s full suite of mechanical services, including: Suspension, wheel, spring, shock, and air bag services Tractor and trailer air lines, lighting, and alignments Quick lube services, 5th wheel greasing, and general preventative maintenance Clearly communicate Pomp’s mechanical capabilities and service advantages to encourage customers to choose us over competitors Develop strategies to identify new mechanical opportunities within customer fleets Provide ongoing customer support, resolving issues promptly while ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to maximize sales effectiveness What You Need: Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain driving record to Pomp’s standards CDL Preferred Ability to safely operate vehicles equipped with manual and automatic transmission 3–5 years of fleet maintenance or heavy vehicle repair management experience preferred Strong understanding of fleet mechanical systems and preventative maintenance (suspension, alignments, lighting, quick lube, etc.) Ability to communicate effectively with fleet managers, technicians, and decision-makers at all levels Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Ability to regularly lift, push, or move 25 pounds; occasionally lift, push, or move 75 pounds Professional appearance and demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills Occasional overnight travel Don’t let your career stall—put it in drive with Pomp’s Tire Service!
