Description NORCAL Ambulance is looking for an Entry Level Lube Tech to join our fleet team! Pay: $18 - $24/hr (depending on experience) Hours: 5am - 1:30pm3 Full Time Days: Vary; Must be willing to work weekends* Locations: Sacramento San Ramon Experience: Entry-level; training typically provided. Previous automotive or fleet maintenance experience preferred. Certifications: ASE or similar certifications a plus but not mandatory. Common Duties: Perform on-site oil and filter changes on fleet ambulances. Check and top off fluids (coolant, transmission, brake, washer, etc.). Inspect tires, belts, lights, and batteries. Travel between ambulance stations or designated fleet locations (may include long-distance driving). Maintain accurate service records and report vehicle conditions. Follow company, safety, and environmental procedures (including proper disposal of used oil and filters). Requirements Core Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver’s License & Safe Driving Record Must maintain a clean driving record. Comfortable with long-distance driving between multiple ambulance stations or service areas. Able to safely operate and navigate company service vehicles. Mechanical Aptitude Basic understanding of vehicle systems, including oil, filters, fluids, tires, and batteries Perform routine preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles (oil changes, tire rotations, inspections). Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move 40–60 lbs regularly (oil containers, tools, equipment). Comfortable working in various outdoor or station environments. Able to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Professionalism & Communication Interact respectfully with station personnel and fleet supervisors. Clearly document work performed and communicate any maintenance issues. Represent the company professionally while traveling between locations. Reliability, Independence, & Time Management Work independently with minimal supervision. Manage travel routes and service schedules efficiently. Keep the mobile service vehicle organized, stocked, and well-maintained.
