This role ensures consistent, high-quality service throughout the lifecycle of council vehicles, plant, and equipment by fostering strong relationships and collaborating across teams.  Using specialist knowledge and prior experience in fleet administration, the officer will manage financial aspects of fleet services, reviewing contracts, processing transactions, and reporting data.  Key Responsibilities:  * Deliver fleet management support by coordinating operational costs, maintaining lifecycle asset maintenance (repairs, insurance, servicing) and oversee fleet purchasing, disposal and replacement programs.  * Drive continuous service improvement through reporting, system analysis, and the confident use of finance software, MS Office, and vendor tools to support informed decision-making across teams and external partners. * Cultivate collaborative partnerships and provide timely, professional feedback to supervisors and stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery and proactive issue resolution. * Ensure financial and legislative compliance by administering fleet budgets and expenditure tracking, conducting FBT reporting, and adhering to procurement standards and government regulations. About You  The successful candidate will need to have minimum 3 years’ experience in the fleet industry.
