Description
Job purpose: Ensure that the organization fleet is operated and maintained in a safe and effective manner. Responsible for maintaining fleet of vehicles in order to meet the operational needs of NPA Iraq program and ensuring vehicles, generators are compliant with the laws and policies. Responsibilities: General responsibilities: Monitor and ensure Anbar fleet operations are in compliance with NPA policies and procedures. Local traffic rules and regulations are followed. Responsible for fleet operation tracking and reporting, including the creation of performance, efficiency, vehicle/equipment maintenance reports. Provide management with monthly reports on vehicle and power generators status & usage, fuel balance and tracking, servicing, etc. Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends. Ensure preventive maintenance programs are carried out as per schedule and monitor post repair performance. Make sure all drivers adhere to NPA’s driving policy & SOPs related to fleet management. Ensure that all drivers understand and procure the licenses and permits, they need to legally carry loads to work destinations. Find ways to reduce downtime due to repairs or lack of routine maintenance. Maintain electronic databases and hardcopy records of sales, registration, inspections and maintenance for Anbar fleet management. Streamline and monitor fuel purchase system. Facilitate and implement corrective actions and capacity building to manage entire fleet to achieve NPA’s objectives. Manage the inventory of spares parts for vehicles, in coordination with the Logistics Manager, in order to ensure an adequate supply of spares. Conduct analysis of vehicle status and make recommendations for timely replacement, including type of vehicles, spares etc. in order to improve cost-efficiency. Responsible for NPA generators such as general services, service schedule, repair and reporting. Intensive Travel to the field projects regularly is required. Specific duties: Schedule and follow up on servicing of vehicles. Carry out the adequate installation, use, maintenance and condition of vehicles. Organize the fleet & spare parts purchases in close collaboration with the Logistics Manager. Establish and maintain list of spare parts for maintenance of fleet and generators. Required qualifications: Must have: Excellent Technical knowledge & skills of operating/managing Toyota vehicles, Perkins generators and other big names. MS Office & Excel skills and knowledge of Agresso or similar logistics software/interface. Good English skills and able to write reports in English. Desirable: Education: Degree / Diploma relevant to the position/role. Mechanical Diploma or professional experience in fleet management. Experience: Experience in working with International NGO`s More than 3 years' experience in a similar role/ position.
