FLEET OPERATIONS MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

The Fleet Operations Manager is responsible for leading the overall operations of our All Four, ensuring vehicles are maintained, compliant, and efficiently deployed to support our customers. This role bridges strategy and execution—managing costs, overseeing staff, enforcing safety and compliance, and driving continuous improvement. The Fleet Operations Manager partners closely with Operations Coordinators and cross-functional teams to keep our fleet running smoothly and customers satisfied.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in fleet operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance, and compliance regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Fleet Operations team, providing guidance, training, and support to Coordinators and staff.
  • Oversee day-to-day workflow while fostering accountability and a collaborative culture.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coach team members, and manage disciplinary actions in line with company policy.
  • Direct preventive maintenance and coordinate non-routine repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Establish and manage lifecycle schedules for vehicles to maximize utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality fleet service.
  • Develop and manage departmental budget, including fuel, maintenance, labor, and repair costs.
  • Monitor KPIs, generate performance reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Drive cost-control measures and operational efficiencies that align with company growth goals.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records, licensing, and regulatory documentation.
  • Implement technology solutions such as telematics and fleet tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with leasing and sales teams to align fleet availability with customer demand.
  • Identify and apply industry best practices to strengthen operations and customer service.
