POSITION: FLEET OPERATIONS MANAGER – HOUSTON, TX

We are looking for a driven and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to support the VP of Operations in overseeing our Houston fleet. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence in transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in fleet or transportation operations management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with transportation management systems and tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities
  • Support the VP of Operations in managing daily transportation activities.
  • Oversee fleet operations including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and dispatch coordination.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and support team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize in-house and external vehicle repairs.
  • Conduct daily key audits and ensure accurate vehicle inventory tracking.
  • Manage the onboarding and decommissioning process for fleet vehicles.
  • Work closely with Driver Services and Safety teams to maintain compliance with driver, vehicle, and drug & alcohol program requirements.
