POSITION SUMMARY

The Fleet/Plant Coordinator will be responsible for managing the servicing, compliance, and operational readiness of plant and fleet assets on the HumeLink East transmission project. This role is based in Yass, central to the project corridor, and will operate from a dedicated site compound equipped with office facilities.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Trade background preferred (but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of plant compliance and maintenance scheduling.
  • Experience with industrial winches and vehicle loading cranes (VLCs).
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Safety-first mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate servicing, maintenance, and breakdowns across the Genus plant fleet.
  • Liaise with OEMs and local contractors to schedule support and repairs.
  • Manage tyre stock and coordinate local tyre fitters (including steer vs drive tyre management).
  • Set up and induct subcontractor support (e.g., Fitters, Boilermakers, Auto Electricians).
  • Ensure compliance with safety processes and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Oversee compliance for classified plant (e.g., Cherry Pickers, Cranes) including quarterly, annual, and electrical inspections.
  • Maintain and manage industrial winches (e.g., Redmond Gary, Tesmec).
  • Manage VLCs across various brands (e.g., Effer, Palfinger, Hiab).
