Description The Fleet Services Utility Worker is responsible for assisting the shop personnel with general maintenance and cleaning tasks as assigned by the leadership team. Responsibilities: Hours 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm Washing the exterior of trucks Clean the inside of the trucks Stock parts daily in the stock room Drive company van to pick up parts from suppliers Daily yard check and cleaning of property and drop lot Performs additional duties as required under the direction of the leadership team. Adheres to safety guidelines. Requirements · Educational: Be able to read, write and speak fluent English. A High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. · Technical: Quality standards knowledge. Use of all Material Handling Equipment pertaining to operations. CDL preferred, but not required · Physical: Regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds Occasionally move and/or lift 100 pounds (with assistance) Standing up to 10 hours at a time. Ability to climb up and down out of trucks up to 10 hours a day · Environment: Work is performed in a shop environment with the associated hazards. · Training: Requires on the job training as required to meet job requirements · Performance: · Decision Making & Problem Solving: Able to make clear and accurate decisions. · Policies and Procedures: Able to conform to all established procedures and work activities. · Interaction: Able to communicate well verbally and in writing with employees and management as needed. · Initiative: Able to function with minimum supervision. · Leadership: Able to lead discussions and meetings with senior management staff · Must be able to work in a team environment. · Ability to interface and communicate with people effectively.
