Description GBR Corporation is currently seeking candidates with a Class A CDL to join our team as a Fleet & Shop Supervisor. We’re looking for a hands-on leader to take charge of our fleet and transportation operations. This is an active, hands-on position — not a desk job — where your mechanical skills and leadership will directly impact jobsite success. CDL Driver Oversight Support and supervise CDL drivers in daily operations. Ensure DOT and safety compliance. Conduct or assist with vehicle inspections and enforce preventative maintenance. Promote safe driving practices and professionalism at all times. Transportation & Inventory Management Coordinate equipment and material deliveries with jobsite foremen. Load/unload vehicles and semi-trailers (sometimes requiring forklift). Deliver materials and equipment to construction jobsites. Pick-up semi-loads of materials from vendors. Haul roll off dumpster trailers to dispose of construction waste materials. Manage shop inventory and supply levels. Shop & Mechanical Operations Ensure all vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition and comply with DOT regulations Perform inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on company trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. Coordinate major repairs with outside vendors. Maintain maintenance logs and inspection records. Requirements Valid Class A CDL (no automatic restriction) Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Must be eligible to work in the United States Must have a valid Class A CDL driver's license. Proven experience with fleet management and vehicle maintenance. Experienced in use of a forklift. Small engine repair experience a plus.
Responsibilities
This role involves supervising CDL drivers, ensuring DOT and safety compliance, and managing transportation logistics including equipment and material deliveries to job sites. The supervisor will also be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on company vehicles and construction equipment.
