    About the Role
    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fleet & Stores Coordinator for a regional local government role based in Newman. This position is responsible for the effective management of a diverse fleet and operational stores, ensuring optimal utilisation, safety compliance, and lifecycle planning for light vehicles, plant, trailers, and mobile units.
    You’ll also manage inventory across regional and rural facilities, lead supplier relationships, support long-term fleet replacement strategies, coordinate servicing schedules, and ensure efficient day-to-day store operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain fleet register and track whole-of-life costs.
  • Coordinate servicing, repairs, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage fleet acquisitions, disposals, fuel cards, key registers, and pool vehicle bookings.
  • Monitor asset utilisation and identify risks or improvements.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory systems.
  • Manage storage and purchasing of consumables, fuel, and materials.
  • Support annual and capital budget processes.
  • Track budget variances and generate reports using fleet management software.

About You

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, with accurate keyboard and data entry skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience in scheduling fleet servicing and maintenance.
  • Understanding of plant and fleet lifecycle and cost-effective utilisation.
  • Basic knowledge of OSH requirements in a depot/workshop environment.
  • Valid WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Experience in warehousing and inventory management.
  • Valid WA LR, MR or HR Licence.
  • Forklift licence.
  • Hold a current National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
