Responsibilities

To support Visy’s Intermodal growth, we’re seeking an experienced Fleet Supervisor with a solid background in Container Management and Wharf Cartage to oversee daily operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include scheduling & rostering fleet movement, managing internal relationships across various stakeholders, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Intermodal Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supporting day-to-day operations, including driver rostering, run allocation, and team supervision
  • Managing container movements, availability, and inventory through regular stocktake reports
  • Monitoring and coordinating the arrival and departure of client-loaded/unloaded containers
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding delays or operational changes
  • Ensuring full compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR regulation
  • Upholding high standards of vehicle and driver safety, service delivery, and customer communication
  • Maintaining accurate record-keeping, including POD orders, documentation, and system data integrity
  • Conducting load planning and asset optimisation using strong analytical and resource planning skills
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve existing processes and operational efficiency
