A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Full Time Fleet Analyst plays a pivotal role in managing and analyzing data across multiple fleet areas including Vehicles Manufacturer Order Status ETA’s, Telematics, Electric Vehicles (EVs), Cargo Vans & Commercial Trucks, and more. This role is responsible for generating insights, maintaining dashboards, supporting strategic decision-making through data analytics, process improvement, and system configuration. The ideal candidate is passionate about inventory management, telematics, and continuous improvement in fleet operations.

Responsibilities

Reporting Ownership and Management

  • Provide data and reporting for various fleet segments or focus areas such as electric vehicles, cargo vans & trucks, sold-but-not-deleted vehicles and wholesale vehicle inventory.
  • Manage daily status updates and summaries for vehicle turnback performance and vehicle turnaround times.
  • Assist the Manager, Fleet and Logistics with updates to Canadian fleet plans and global fleet plan templates.
  • Provide weekly Reporting on non-revenue movement and out of town vehicles.
  • Automate reporting where possible and utilize various tools such as Tableau to create user friendly dashboards.

CVOR Management

  • Review and manage CVOR abstracts for Hertz fleet.
  • Collaborate with the Ministry of Transportation and internal Hertz team to ensure all compliance guidelines are met.

Manufacturer Order Status & Forecasting

  • Compile, analyze and distribute vehicle manufacturer order status reports.
  • Forecast vehicle delivery timelines and communicate updates to relevant teams.
  • Assist field fleet staff with requests for licensing documentation from vehicle manufacturers.
  • Provide reporting on manufacturer production and delivery performance.

Telematics & Geotab Device Oversight

  • Maintain daily reporting and dashboards for telematics connectivity.
  • Identify vehicles requiring telematics device installation/recovery and coordinate with Canada Tech Ops.
  • Apply and remove vehicle holds in rental systems as required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts for telematics devices and coordinate re-ordering as required.
