KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Effectively manage direct reports, ensuring they’re fully trained and equipped to carry out their duties, alongside overseeing their professional development with regular 1:1s and reviews. • Act as positive representative for the Fettle brand, by completing exceptional quality repairs and maintenance on bicycles, cargo bicycles, and e-bikes at customer workshops. • Take every action and precaution to ensure safety of our customers’ bikes during repairs and maintenance. • Conduct workshop-based servicing and repairs to maintain fleet vehicles in optimal condition • Lead a team of senior and junior fleet mechanics, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality service delivery. • Advise and help manage your teams rota, scheduling, holiday, and sickness coverage to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient workflow within the team. • Assist in conducting on-site fleet assessments for new and potential clients. • Support the Customer and Fleet Operations Manager with a system set up ahead of new client onboarding. • Support with stock ordering activities, considering overall fleet maintenance strategy, budgetary constraints, and strategic objectives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Ability to ride a bicycles, cargo bicycles and e-bikes for extended periods of time, in all weathers. • Extensive experience in the cycling industry, with excellent technical knowledge of all types and brands of manual and electric cycles. • A passion for cycling and exceptional customer service • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to and build positive relationships at all levels • Good level of IT literacy, with a good working knowledge of MSO (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), communication tools, such as Slack, Teams & Zoom, and CRM systems • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills • Ability to work with a good level of autonomy and initiative • Team orientated the ability to demonstrate resilience and build trust

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Fleet Team Lead who will be responsible for managing Fleet Technicians, providing technical support, conducting fleet assessments, performing administrative tasks, strategically advising on and at times ordering parts within budgetary constraints, and managing team coverage for sickness and holiday, whilst providing first class repair and maintenance work, technical expertise, problem solving, and exceptional customer service. The role plays a crucial part of current business growth, with the success dependent on resilience and ‘big picture’ thinking, driving the department forward during this transitional period, and still providing a smooth and agile service, where customer satisfaction and safety is put at the heart of everything we do.
