Fleet Technical Projects Leader – 12 month FTC
We’re seeking a Fleet Technical Projects Leader to join our team, reporting to the Senior Fleet Engineering Manager. In this pivotal role, you’ll work cross-functionally within Fleet Technical Management to deliver projects that enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. You’ll collaborate closely with Fleet Engineers across Airframe, Avionics, Cabin Systems, and Components, as well as liaising with equipment manufacturers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are well-coordinated and fully aligned with our operating policies and technical procedures. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
As Fleet Technical Projects Leader, you will ensure the safe, cost-effective, and efficient operation of easyJet’s aircraft and systems while leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You’ll allocate resources effectively, mentor and manage engineers and technical professionals, and drive collaboration across teams. With strong organisational skills, you’ll oversee multiple projects, develop processes and procedures, and maintain accurate documentation to meet regulatory and operational requirements. You’ll identify and mitigate risks, solve complex technical and logistical challenges, and manage budgets for aircraft and component modifications. Your expertise will include Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, aircraft modifications, and technical records systems, along with knowledge of the Airbus delivery process from supplier engagement to product delivery. By building strong relationships with regulators, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders, you’ll ensure smooth communication and alignment throughout the lifecycle of each engineering project.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE ROLE:
The ideal candidate will hold a recognised degree in Aircraft or Aerospace Engineering and bring strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills. You’ll have a strategic mindset, balancing long-term vision with short-term project objectives, and possess the financial acumen to manage budgets effectively. With in-depth knowledge of EASA Part M/Part CAMO requirements and proven competence in Airworthiness regulations and legislation, you’ll have experience managing collaborative development projects with fixed deadlines, leading initiatives with clear milestones, and working with complex systems and records. Proficiency in AMOS or similar MRO systems, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills, is essential. You’ll be motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement, thriving in a dynamic environment where flexibility and problem-solving are key.
