MON–FRI, 07:00–17:00

Based in Barnsley, our client is a utilities contractor managing a well-maintained fleet of 175 vehicles, predominantly Mercedes vans, with 15 HGVs included.
They operate from their fully equipped on-site workshop with a dedicated team of technicians, working Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00. To ease workshop pressures and maintain operational efficiency, they also hold a pool of spare vehicles.
We are now seeking a Fleet Technician to join their growing team.

The Role As a Fleet Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections of company vehicles (mainly vans)
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics
  • Supporting the operational readiness of the fleet
  • Working as part of a close-knit and experienced team

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience working on vans (Mercedes experience desirable)
  • HGV maintenance experience is advantageous, but not essential
  • Skilled in diagnostics, repairs, and routine servicing
  • Additional expertise in any of the following is highly valued:
  • HGV Mechanic / Class 2 License
  • Auto-Electrics
  • Diagnostic Tools
  • Plant Maintenance
