Description We are looking for a full-time, reliable, and skilled Fleet Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs and performing preventative maintenance, and adjustments on our fleet trailers and vehicles. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will be a problem solver and have solid mechanical knowledge. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide Safer, Faster, and Better turnkey solutions in the construction, petrochemical, and disaster response community. Requirements 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience; high school diploma or equivalent required. Basic working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Understanding of hydraulic systems. Diesel engine maintenance and troubleshooting experience preferred. Understanding of high- and low-voltage electrical systems. Mechanical experience around trailers and air brake systems preferred. Experience working with tools, including hand tools and electrical power tools. Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creative solutions. Strong work ethic with a safety mindset. Clean driving record required (driving company vehicles will be necessary). Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights using proper safety equipment. Ability to stand and be on feet for 8+ hours a day and walk on a variety of surfaces. Willingness to work overtime and travel to jobsites nationwide as needed. Responsibilities: Perform repairs, such as fixing broken locks, signs, plumbing on trailers, minor electrical repairs, and small carpentry tasks, etc. Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, replacing DC converters, installing tankless water heaters, and lubricating moving parts of equipment. Replace worn-out parts, ranging from simple components to complex systems. Perform routine checks and adjustments to machinery or trailers. Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed. Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with various equipment and systems. Test the functionality of the mobile asset’s safety systems. Reports any issues to our Fleet Manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress.
Responsibilities
The Fleet Technician will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet trailers and vehicles, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues. They will also report any issues to the Fleet Manager and ensure the functionality of safety systems.
