Responsibilities

SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

Deliver best in class performance through professional, competitive and efficient buying processes, controls and systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Purchase and hire equipment, materials and/or services for assigned projects.
  • Responsible for procurement to pay process from sourcing to assisting with invoice clear-ance
  • Supplier sourcing and negotiations
  • Secure the quality and timely delivery of goods and/or services required for assigned pro-jects.
  • Conducting bid analysis and processing of purchase orders
  • Create Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
  • Liaison with suppliers and accounts payable team regarding invoice queries
  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities
  • Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as sites and suppliers
  • Negotiate vendor alliances and rebate agreements.
  • Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.
  • Ensure that the Authority Matrix is followed stringently.
  • Conduct site visits to meet with project teams. Some European travel required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR THE ROLE:

  • Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Work well as part of a team towards a common goal.
