Clarke Vehicare is currently looking for a skilled Fleet Mechanic/Truck Technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. Use of smartphone, laptop and tablet technology to record all repairs. This fleet consists primarily of Company Vehicles and Class 8 Trucks. What are the Duties?Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Repairs and maintains customer vehicles and mechanical equipment by performing the following duties: Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on tractors, trailers, MHE, auto, and other equipment. Diagnose and repair all types of mechanical issues including engines, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, A/C, and more. Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW. Work independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Available to work Monday-Friday PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance. The associate must be able to read and write reports. Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions. ?EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment experience is strongly preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver's license CDL a Plus or Able to obtain CDL Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card Why should you apply?
