Description Company : Wyoming Fleet / Auto Services Job Opening: Fleet Vehicle Mechanic Location: Casper, WY Shift Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday (with occasional Saturday work required) Employment Type: Hourly for first 90 days, transitioning to flat rate ($25 to $38+ DOE) Benefits: Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life & Disability Insurance Requirements: GED Valid Driver’s License Proven experience as a mechanic Self-motivated and accountable Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle/equipment condition. Complete preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to keep equipment available for use. Correct vehicle deficiencies by repairing or replacing various components and systems. Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance, adjusting controls and systems as necessary. Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements. Keep detailed records of services and repairs. Manage shop equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Control costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service/part options. Maintain inventory of supplies and parts. Provide excellent customer service, including effective communication with clients regarding their vehicles. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Be prepared for field inspections and repairs in various weather conditions. We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and skilled mechanic who is self-motivated, accountable, and possesses strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and as part of a team and have experience with a diverse fleet of vehicles, including gas and diesel-powered, and medium-duty diesel vehicles.
Responsibilities
The mechanic will conduct inspections, diagnostic tests, and complete preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment availability, correcting deficiencies by repairing or replacing components and systems.
