Job Summary: General labor position. Rinsing trailer interiors per specific procedure. Washing and detailing Plastic Express tractors inside and out. Wheel and tire polishing on tractors and trailers. Essential Functions/Duties: Wash and detail tractors inside and out Wash trailers inside Blow down or wash the inside of trailers Wash out hoses Polish and shine tires and wheels Sweep and maintain the truck yard Clean and maintain the wash area Must be willing and able to perform work on top of tank trailers while utilizing required fall protection equipment. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Conduct pre-use inspections of wash equipment, hoses, ladders, fall protection equipment, and report any defects or safety concerns Follow trailer washout procedures, customer requirements, and contamination prevention standards Safely operate pressure washers, wash equipment, and other tools used in cleaning operations Assist with maintaining terminal cleanliness and housekeeping standards Move tractors and trailers within the terminal yard, if qualified and authorized This is a safety-sensitive position requiring strict adherence to company safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Required Education and Experience Minimum education required: high school diploma or equivalent CDL Class A or B is a benefit but not required Reliable transportation to report to and travel between company locations as required Ability to obtain and maintain terminal-specific safety certifications and training Previous experience in industrial cleaning, truck washing, detailing, or general labor preferred but not required Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. These tasks include, but are not limited to: Ability to perform physical labor for a minimum of 8 hours per day Physical ability to work at heights using fall protection, bend, and squat under trailers Must be able to lift and carry up to 56 pounds Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday Must be able to climb ladders and access the tops of tank trailers while utilizing required fall protection equipment Must be able to wear and utilize required personal protective equipment, including fall protection harnesses, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of team Ability to work safely in a team environment Strong work ethic and commitment to safety Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers Ability to operate or learn to operate tractors and trailers in a controlled yard environment Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and reliable attendance Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Work Environment: Work is performed primarily outdoors in a bulk terminal environment and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, moving equipment, and vehicle traffic. Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and use required PPE at all times. May be exposed to cleaning agents, detergents, degreasers, and other chemicals used in vehicle and equipment cleaning. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday with some work required on Saturdays. Travel: Little to no travel is expected for this position.
