Description

Flex Academy has an opening for a Learning Coach for the 2025-26 school year. This is an on-site, permanent position, working 33 hours per week. The primary purpose of this position is to extend teacher impact in the classroom and to support student learning in an individual or small-group context and to ensure students are tracking and meaningfully engaging in their classes.

Responsibilities
  • Support the social, spiritual, emotional, and academic learning needs of students
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support the delivery of personalized learning opportunities, supporting in curriculum development, and facilitating learning experiences for students within the classroom
  • Organize, lead and facilitate student clubs that engage students in their passion areas
  • Support students in developing executive functioning and self-advocacy skills through skill-building and goal setting
  • Track student progress and work with families, administration, and staff to ensure timely course completion
  • Act as a mentor to students, providing whole-person care and supporting their overall growth
  • Collaborate with the Inclusive Education Department, Administration, and teaching staff in the delivery of IEPs and participate in Student at Risk Team meetings
  • Maintain excellent daily communication and connection with students, families, staff, and other stakeholders
  • Attend and support school field trips as required
  • Uphold school safety, supervision standards, and all school policies
