JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Stakeholder Engagement + Communications – FLEX is a key member of the Business Transformation Office team, responsible for supporting the creation and execution of communication and engagement efforts for Marriott’s most important stakeholders. The Business Transformation Office was established to enable and support these projects through innovative approaches to strategic planning, program management, change management, experience and business process design, continent coordination, and deployment.The Change Management, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team focuses on multi-dimensional, tech and digital-driven initiatives that impact a complex set of multiple stakeholders who will experience a high degree and volume of change. This role will help build upon existing expertise and contribute to the development of the structures and capabilities needed to successfully communicate various Business Transformation Office initiatives. The Manager will work closely with colleagues across the entire Transformation Office—including (but not limited to) PMO, Deployment, Experience Design & Business Process Design, and Continent Engagement. Success in this role requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, the ability to adapt to ambiguity, proven capability to handle multiple work efforts simultaneously, and a willingness to address challenging and time-sensitive requests.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communications Materials Production: Support the preparation and distribution of communications deliverables for various Business Transformation Office projects, including written updates, PowerPoint presentations, talking points, video scripting and production.
  • Communications Plan Support & Execution: Assist in maintaining communications plans and coordinate communication deliverables through a formal review process, meeting set timelines.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Communications Materials Production Support preparation and distribution of communications materials, such as presentations, memos, talking points and videos for various Business Transformation Office initiatives.
  • Communications Plan Support & Execution Collaborate with team members to assist in the development and execution of comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communications plans for various Business Transformation Office projects.
  • Maintain communications plans and coordinate deliverables through a formal review process, adhering to deadlines.
  • Work with communications, continent, and other teams to meet defined success measures.
  • Prepare timely status updates for leaders and executives.
  • Project Support Assist in developing executive presentations and status updates on various Business Transformation Office projects.
  • Help create targeted communications (such as memos, FAQs, presentations, collateral) describing changes, preparation, rollout measurements, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders inside the Business Transformation Office and across the company to ensure alignment and consistency with organizational communication efforts.
  • Support continent teams in building and adapting engagement plans and disseminating key messages.
  • Contribute to process improvement and design by seeking stakeholder feedback and focusing on the design of processes and materials.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from department leaders.
  • Seek opportunities to leverage resources and knowledge across the Business Transformation Office and other departments.
  • Additional Responsibilities Manage time effectively and conduct activities in an organized manner.
  • Present ideas, expectations, and information in a clear and organized fashion.
  • Help resolve group or interpersonal conflict.
  • Complete other reasonable duties as assigned by the manager.
