Marriott has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer – Corporate Systems. This role is part of the team focused on deploying new capabilities to our next generation cloud-based HR, Payroll, HR Analytics, and Learning platforms. Appropriate candidates will have a passion for emerging technologies with a vision for building sustainable and scalable products and a strong drive for success.
In this role you will function primarily as a front-end Application Developer, driving the corresponding component and service architecture and interface that helps define the user experience across the HR Product domain. But you will also be expected to help develop the corresponding back-end integration architecture as well, including the APIs and functions that process business logic for the front-end capabilities.
You will perform research, analysis, design, development, and testing on a wide range of next generation capabilities and products. You will set technical standards and develop reusable frameworks to ensure secure, consistent, and efficient creation of UI/UX capabilities. You shall develop Low Level Solution Designs, low and high-fidelity wire frames, and Proof of Concepts. You will also provide ongoing L3 Operational Support for the front-end aspects of the HR Product domain.
You will assume technical ownership of Service Provider deliverables and lead their associates to ensure their deliverables are of high quality, follow our technical standards & best practices, and perform at scale. You shall monitor Service Provider projects to oversee their successful completion, taking accountability for the Code Quality & Solution Implementation.
In addition, you will research emerging technologies that will provide future capabilities as well as seek solutions for complex technical issues. You will make decisions on complex, non-routine requests to support analytics based decisioning by Marriott business teams.
