Description Job Title: Flex Social Lunch Site Host- Part Time Reports To: Nutrition Manager Pay Scale: $14.00-$20.76 (dependent on relevant previous experience) Job Classification: Part Time; Non-Exempt Job Summary: Host site and provide programs and activities to engage participants. Work with local community to build client participation. This position will be responsible for being the host at multiple sites and support multiple sites when needed. Personal & Professional Attributes: Demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, and understanding of the needs of older, impoverished, and developmentally disabled individuals; display common sense and good judgment and actively promote LCAP to the public. Uphold the highest level of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity, and always represent the organization positively and professionally. Core Technology Competencies: Must be able to use a tablet for work purposes; and be able to complete all necessary paperwork. Essential Duties: · Set up and service of meals. · Perform basic intake forms for new clients upon starting service. · Create a positive and relaxed social environment while maintaining professional conduct at all times. · Plan engaging activities and socialization for clients to encourage attendance at site. · Actively encourage client participation in activities. · Record and complete necessary reports and turn in contributions, as required. · Other duties as required. Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described below represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. No known hazards exist. The physical demands of this position include frequent sitting, standing, walking, lifting and/or carrying, talking, hearing, visual ability, and mental and emotional demands. Must be in good physical health, good personal hygiene and able to lift portable food carriers, up to 50 pounds. This position is subject to pre-employment background and substance abuse testing. Requirements General Requirements: Commitment and desire to provide excellent service to all clients and aging community members. Maintain predictable and regular attendance, work stated hours, communicate, comprehend, and follow policies and procedures, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff. Must be able to perform all job responsibilities satisfactorily and meet the same job title's physical requirements. All employees must possess and maintain a Valid Ohio Driver’s License and the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio (must be able to provide proof upon request). Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: · Prefer high school graduate or equivalent. · Must be able to keep accurate records. · Previous experience in food service helpful. · Must follow state and local health department guidelines which apply to the job. · Regular and predictable attendance is required. · Will be trained in CPR/First Aid as needed.
Responsibilities
