Description:
The Flexible Production Specialist is a senior position within the production department. A successful candidate demonstrates technical knowledge and expertise supporting the production process/lines in different roles.
We are currently hiring a FPS for the night shift.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist production teams in a technical capacity.
• Take on the responsibilities of Value Stream Leads when absent, ensuring that the manufacturing process continues smoothly, while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Support production lines in covering for PTOs, call-offs, staff shortages, high production demands, training, open positions, etc.
• Be a resource for training sessions to upskill employees on SOPs, equipment operation, set-ups, changeovers, etc.
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, kaizens, rework, etc. Identify inefficiencies in production processes and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Assist less-experienced workers so that the entire team can work effectively when requested by Value Stream Managers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and implement process changes or improvements.
• Support proper line set ups/changeovers to maximize line availability for production.
• Understands and follows all food safety requirements including GMPs, relevant SOPs and employee handbook.
• Complies with company SOPs, GMPs, and SQF requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
