The Flexo Press Operator is responsible for the set-up, operation and maintenance of the Flexo Press and related production equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reads job order and loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft and installs print cylinder in press. Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a flexographic press. Notify supervisor of needed repairs and/or replacement parts. Interpret job tickets or SOP’s accurately so jobs are completed according to the customer’s requirements. Maintains and updates maintenance records. Understand all documents related to the printing process and adhere to specification requirements. Understand and follow safety and quality requirements. Recommends and help develop SOPs for job related functions, process improvement and ways to improve efficiency. Other duties as assigned. Two years’ related experience understanding and working as a Flexo Press Operator. Strong knowledge of basic color and print experience. Skills and abilities: Good verbal, written and listening skills; ability to read, understand and follow SOPs. Good mechanical aptitude. Uses self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize work activities to use time efficiently. Identifies the problem and notifies manager in a timely manner with possible solution. Helps and supports all employees in their work. Works effectively with others. Responds positively to instructions and procedures. Responsibilities
