Description

ROLE: Flexographic Printer
LOCATION: Boston PE20
HOURS: Full-time, rotating shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Flexographic Printer (essential)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good verbal communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to operate, or quickly learn, flexographic printing machinery and related software
  • Experience meeting SEDEX and ETI requirements (advantageous but not essential)
  • Proactive, safety-conscious approach with a commitment to high standards

Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage flexographic printing machines (including a 10-colour narrow web servo-driven press)
  • Prepare presses for production and troubleshoot any issues during runs
  • Monitor printing processes to maintain operating levels, adjusting as needed
  • Manage inks and solvents according to material and job specifications
  • Maintain production speeds, achieve shift targets, and report any issues
  • Continuously seek improvements in production methods, reducing downtime and potential quality issues
  • Work with the Production Manager to ensure machine utilisation, minimise waste, and meet delivery deadlines
  • Follow all quality control and assurance processes, maintaining accurate records
  • Maintain safe working systems and contribute to a safe and efficient environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing information and supporting the wider Print Department
