Job Description: Job Summary
The Flight Attendant Crew Resource Planning Consultant is responsible for conducting data-driven research and recommending strategies concerning Flight Attendant initiatives. This role works to most efficiently plan, allocate, and prepare a Flight Attendant training and staffing plan to support Company fleet, network, and strategic plans for Inflight Operations, Crew Planning, and recruiting and training partners (People and SWA University). Their work will help to reduce costs by improving productivity and making business recommendations that will improve the Flight Attendant operation.
The Business Consultant will serve as a Crew Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Leaders throughout the Company and position Inflight Operations and Crew Planning & Analytics to effectively manage current conditions and future unknowns as it relates to Crew Resources.

Responsibilities
Represents the Crew Resource Planning Team and their interests with various departments, participating in meetings and committees as assigned
Lead/support analysis, evaluates strategies, and makes recommendations to improve performance measures and reporting
Lead/support the research and analysis of trends, and the development of new processes/tools/reports to support greater efficiency for Inflight Crew Planning, Inflight Operations, and support Departments involved in the hiring/training of Flight Attendants
Conducts studies using optimization to inform future Flight Attendant staffing and training plan needs and interfaces with Network Planning for feedback on future schedule development
Responsible for the accuracy and evaluation of the Flight Attendant Staffing headcount model and innovates additional capabilities and efficiencies
Responsible for the accuracy and evaluation of the Flight Attendant Training plan and communicates solutions and challenges
Creates business analyses, including financial outlooks, for Flight Attendant staffing and allocation resources
Provides technical guidance on principles and topics within Inflight Crew Planning related to Flight Attendant staffing, operation, and efficiency
Leads/supports operational and cost improvements for staffing, crew pairings, daily open time assignment, and irregular operations management
Interfaces with and supports Leaders in Crew Planning, Inflight Operations, Scheduling, People, SWA U, FP&A, and other departmental Employees on a daily basis
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to comprehend and manage optimization software, interpret results, and create iterative processes for improvement
Knowledge of Southwest Airlines operations
Skilled in designing and conducting analyses, as well as synthesizing complex recommendations and understanding how data relates
Skilled in analytical and quantitative skills; experience with spreadsheets or other quantitative modeling
Skilled in using strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a Team
Ability to assume a high level of responsibility and to provide direction in a team-oriented environment
Ability to contend with the range and complexity and ambiguity of large Departmental/ Business problems
Ability to partner and work effectively with Managers, Directors, and Senior Leaders to develop and implement Departmental and Company plans Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
Analytical, operational, data analysis/collection, presentation, and/or consulting experience
Data collection, analysis, and presentation
Presenting to Senior Leaders
Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel experience (pivot tables, look up functions, etc.), MS Access (DB queries, etc.), and PowerPoint
Experience using advanced SQL
Licensing/Certification
