MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

(Responsible for all aspects of catering flights to include:)

• Maintain effective communication and coordination with and between LSG Sky Chefs’ management and Customer Service personnel and airline ramp and operations personnel
• Assign and dispatch drivers. Reassign as necessary
• Stay informed of flight activity, schedule and gate changes and act accordingly
• Ensure timely and safe catering of all flights
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues and elevate to managements as needed
• Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems
• Assumes other related duties as required or assigned
• Daily use of various quality forms for AA, and report daily feedback of all AA flight checks discoveries
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, FDA, HACCP, SOP and other regulations
• Ensure on-time delivery and accurate production and/or catering of all flights
• Monitor and assist in ensuring compliance with HACCP and ramp safety SOP
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Must be able to work a 24/7 work schedule in order to ensure customer requirements and needs

KNOWLEDGE

• Understanding of airline catering operations, flight schedules, and logistics processes.
• Familiarity with aviation safety, security, and food handling regulations.
• Knowledge of documentation requirements for airline catering and transportation.

SKILLS

• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple flights and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and airline representatives.
• Problem-solving skills to address last-minute changes or disruptions quickly and efficiently.
• Attention to detail for accurate order preparation and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems used in flight coordination.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in airline catering, aviation operations, or logistics coordination preferred.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Background in customer service or client-facing roles a plus.

ROLE PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Flight Coordinator ensures the accurate and timely preparation, assembly, and delivery of all catering requirements for assigned flights, in compliance with airline specifications, safety regulations, and LSG Sky Chefs’ quality standards. This role serves as the central point of communication between internal teams, operations, and airline representatives to coordinate schedules, resolve last-minute changes, and guarantee on-time departures. By maintaining precise documentation, monitoring workflows, and fostering effective collaboration, the Flight Coordinator plays a key role in delivering an exceptional in-flight dining experience for our airline partners and their passengers.
