Job Description Summary As FLIGHT DECK Leader Prague you will be accountable for leading the Lean transformation of Avio Aero Prague, under the guidelines of GE Aerospace and within the broader scope of Propulsion Aerospace Technologies, and with great focus on a overall engine maker site. You will define the guidelines and the operating procedures to orchestrate Lean deployment with all the Avio Aero functions and their relevant Lean leaders and cross functional leaders the Lean effort in Prague along main processes in order to making them more efficient and fast. You will map out the current status of the Transformation and will define “to be” state, developing effective development plans, coaching and nurturing a community of learners and practitioners. This person will be an outstanding coach for his/her peers and up to the Avio Aero Senior Leadership Level, representing a recognized leader at all levels of the Organization. A sound ability to connect theory, application and tangible business outcomes is an essential skill. The FD Leader Prague understands, deploys and structures action planning, KPI bowler charts, problem solving when execution drifts from plan, and sets up appropriate standard work to transform the way of work. At the same time drives long term transformational activities, such as establishing cross functional value streams. FD Leader will challenge functions and leaders, and lead by example, spending most of his/her time at Gemba. Job Description Essential Responsibilities As FD Leader Prague you will drive and lead the Lean transformation in the Prague site and you will be responsible for developing the roadmap to drive the cultural transformation, and defines and orchestrates the framework for every functional team (such as Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Sales, OTR, etc.). This role is a guide and a mentor for peers, younger talents and up to the Company Leadership Team. You will identify gaps and opportunities for learning, drives learning step change including benchmarking with other Companies. Proficient in Lean methodology, she/he knows how to translate the theory for both manufacturing and transactional environments. FD Leader will stimulate continuous improvement by activating action planning, problem solving, finding Kaizen bursts, and helping to define and possibly lead the optimization of entire cross-functional value streams. Exemplar change agent, the Leader uses its strong interpersonal skills to interpret people’s needs, context and needs of change. He/she will support the team in lean methodology and tools (Value Stream, Kaizen) ting strategy, business priorities and operations. This role requires a master ability in Lean methodology and tools: action planning, bowler charts deployment and KPI roll out, Hoshin Kanri or similar policy deployment techniques Coaching, at different levels of the Organization Data analysis and problem-solving at their widest range Coordinating Leaders across different sites and organizations Challenging processes, whether functional or cross-functional Qualifications/Requirements Significant experience (10+years) in a complex industrial environment, with strong knowledge of both manufacturing and transactional processes and especially focus on engine assy and overhaul maker. Proven leader who has driven continuous improvement/lean results in an operation. Proven track record of success through the implementation and deployment of Lean methodology and tools. Experience in operations management and people development are a key requirement. Master's degree from an accredited university or college. Lean qualifications from Universities/MBA’s and specific lean tools certifications are a plus. Leader that has been responsible for and run a lead operation and delivered results during their career. Experience in the Danaher Business System is a plus. Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills.
