About the Role
Near North Aviation Inc. is a Transport Canada-approved Flight Training Unit and commercial air operator. We are currently seeking a dependable, organized, and aviation-focused individual to join our team in a Flight Dispatch and Reception position.
This full-time, on-site role supports the daily administrative and scheduling needs of our flight training program. We are preparing to relocate into a newly constructed, 10,000 square foot purpose-built training facility later this year. This position presents an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing and professional aviation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and update flight training schedules
  • Assist with student check-ins and dispatch documentation
  • Welcome and support students, staff, and visitors
  • Dispatch aircraft in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Manage phone and email inquiries in a professional manner
  • Process payments through a point-of-sale system and record transactions in QuickBooks
  • Maintain training records and documentation
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Chief Flight Instructor and management team

Qualifications

  • Professional, friendly, and detail-oriented approach
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Experience in reception, administration, or customer service is preferred
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or POS systems is considered an asset (training available)
  • Interest in aviation and willingness to learn is essential
  • Must have reliable transportation to Grand River Executive Airport (CPP6)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting wage: $18/hour to $21/hour, based on experience
  • Monday to Friday, approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Benefits eligibility following probationary period
  • Flight training discounts and internal growth opportunities may be available
  • Performance review after 3 to 6 months

Please note: This position is located at Grand River Executive Airport (CPP6), approximately 15 minutes from Caledonia. It is not located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), and applicants must have reliable transportation to our rural airport location.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
