Description:
Mission Support Logistic Services (MSLS), a subcontractor to Akima Global Logistics LLC, seeks a dependable and safety-conscious Flight Hardware Supervisor to support the NASA mission by providing essential logistics support to the Center Operations directorate. This position requires strict adherence to workplace safety policies and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice and oversight to Flight Hardware personnel during day-to-day operations.
  • Deliver prompt and efficient Flight Hardware services.
  • Develop methods and recommendations for the government to consider when acquiring materials and additional “specialty” services associated with flight hardware.
  • Oversee kitting of materials, inventory management, and control of flight hardware.
  • Interface with customers and serve as the focal point for operational services.
  • Ensure workload data is accurately entered into and tracked in the Flight Hardware Service Request (FH SRS) System.
  • Oversee Project Accounts.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2 years’ experience or 10 years’ equivalent experience without a degree.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position may require lifting up to 40 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, crouching, and bending.
  • This position also necessitates good vision to read printed materials, a computer screen, and hearing and speech skills for in-person and telephone communication.

Safety Requirements:

  • Strict adherence to all OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Required use of PPE when on-site.
  • Required use of steel or composite-toed boots.
  • Participation in regular safety meetings and training.
  • Reporting of all incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain a site or facility badge (may include fingerprinting and government clearance, depending on the site).

Expected Working Conditions:

  • Employees in this position must be able to work in a maintenance and repair setting and use repair equipment and standard office equipment, including a computer.
  • May be required to stand for long periods.
