JOB SUMMARY

The Flight Operations Officer is responsible for the execution of the daily base flight schedule. They will interface with a number of internal and external stakeholders to manage the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of the programme, whilst upholding a high standard of service to NHV’s clients.
The position an operational as well as administrative function, part of the operations department, and reports directly to the Base Manager.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous aviation experience
  • Possess professional, friendly and customer-focused personality
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of flight planning, weather reports and NOTAMS would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of company Flight Time Limitations – Desirable
  • Vantage experience – Desirable
  • Previous experience in aviation operations role would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • The Flight Operations Officer primary accountabilities & responsibilities are as follows:
  • Maintain and monitor the flight schedule – Including flight watch of aircraft operating from Blackpool base
  • Maintain a weather and NOTAM watch appropriate to the operation
  • Manage Crewing of the programme, including ensuring compliance with the company Flight Time Limitations scheme
  • Provide required operational paperwork to Flight Crew to deliver flights
  • Key point of contact for clients – Liaise as required regarding changes, disruption and any issues in delivery of the flying programme. Assist with enquires and queries as needed.
  • Liaison with Air Traffic Control at Blackpool Airport
  • Liaison with Engineering Team to ensure fleet optimisation and availability
  • Liaise with internal departments as required on current operational matters
  • Work with and supervise the on-shift Ground Handling Agents to ensure the safe, compliant and timely processing of passengers, baggage and freight
  • Ensure all customer and internal reports are completed and distributed on time and in full
  • Ensure all administration is carried out to the required standard and regulations
