Description

The Flight Operations Technical Department provides specialist aircraft technical support across the airline, playing a vital role in flight safety, operational efficiency, cost reduction, and network opportunities. We are recruiting for a Flight Operations Technical Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Flight Operations Performance / Weight and Balance Manager, this role is key in delivering data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
The position involves collecting, analysing, interpreting, and visualising operational data to identify trends and improve efficiencies. Responsibilities include assessing flight operations metrics, maintaining accurate records, supporting audits, and ensuring data integrity in aircraft technical information systems. The role also contributes to projects and initiatives by providing meaningful data analysis and recommendations.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential, supporting teams across Airline Operations, Engineering, and Commercial Planning to align operational efficiency with business goals. Additional duties include managing regulatory documentation, providing financial insights for budget forecasting, and evaluating operational expenses to recommend cost-effective solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to step in to the world of Aviation to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and highly specialised team.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual with strong data analysis and visualisation skills. Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI is essential. Due to the technical nature of the position, a minimum of 5 GCSEs is required, with Mathematics and Physics being particularly necessary.
You will have an inquisitive mindset, a willingness to learn on the job, and a proactive approach to self-development. A background in aviation is advantageous but not essential, although a keen interest in the field will be highly beneficial to embrace the delivery of the objectives and long-term plans.
