Primary Job Duties SkyWest Airlines Flight Operations Training is seeking interns to join our team. This is a paid internship that will require work 8 hours per week at our SLC Flight Training Center. Interns will be responsible for reviewing new hire pilot’s logbooks and verifying they meet experience requirements to advance in training. Interns will receive travel benefits on SkyWest and our major partners. This will also be a great opportunity to learn more about SkyWest flight training. Interns will have the opportunity to observe SkyWest pilot training including ground and simulator training. Primary Job Duties Assist the Director Training in ensuring that SkyWest new hire pilots meet experience requirements for the Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate Review new hire pilots logbooks, certificates, endorsements, transcripts to ensure that all requirements of 61.159 and 61.160. Assist in resolving discrepancies regarding experience requirements Communicate issues to leadership for resolution Minimum Requirements To be considered for a Flight Operations Training Intern position, you must: Be at least 18 years of age Must live near Salt Lake City, UT (this is not a remote position - you will be working in our SLC Training Facility near the SLC airport) Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate Hold a current Certified Flight Instructor Certificate Be a U.S. citizen or able to show proof of right to work in the U.S. Must be available to work on Tuesdays Meet the following hour requirements: Must have between 400 and 600 total flight time 100 hours of dual instruction given Excellent attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High personal reliability Must be familiar with pilot logbook requirements and have experience in verifying pilot logbook experience for the purpose of FAA check rides. Preferred: Current SkyWest Cadet in the Pilot Pathway Program enrolled in a SkyWest Elite Partner school Physical and Other Requirements Please complete the online application.
