We are continuing to expand our team and are looking to fill the position of Flight Safety & System Safety Engineer (m/f/d). Your mission Perform and manage system and spacecraft-level safety assessments in accordance with ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-178C or other applicable standards (EASA CS, MIL-STDs, etc.) Develop and maintain functional hazard assessments (FHA), Preliminary and System Safety Assessments (PSSA / SSA), FMEA / FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis Derive and allocate safety requirements to system, hardware and software Derive safety analysis roadmap for the development of a two-stage hypersonic system Support certification and compliance activities in exchange with aerospace authorities (EASA, LBA, ESA…) Interface with systems engineering, flight control, avionics, structure and hardware and software teams to ensure compliance with safety requirements Your profile Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related technical field Solid experience with safety assessment processes according to ARP4754B, ARP4761, DO-178C and others Proven experience in FHA, FMEA, FTA, PSSA / SSA Good understanding of system architecture and systems engineering, aircraft safety and safety requirement formulation Desirable experience with spacecraft safety standards (ECSS or others) Experience with advanced or novel aerospace systems (hypersonic, autonomous, unmanned vehicles) Strong analytical and structured workstyle Ability to communicate safety concepts to a multidisciplinary, cross-functional team High level of attention to detail Experience in communication with aircraft / spacecraft certification authorities (EASA…) What we offer Long-term prospects with a permanent employment contract Being part of an international, highly motivated team Flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes Flexible working hours Use of our company fitness program with EGYM Wellpass Take benefit of attractive employee discounts through Corporate Benefits The opportunity to contribute your ideas and actively shape the company Join us in shaping the future of space transportation and making a positive impact.
