Description

ABOUT US

LRL Aviation, LLC is a small, focused aviation firm providing flight test and certification services to the aviation industry, with a strong track record in general aviation and special mission aircraft. Our team of engineers, test pilots, and FAA designees (DERs & DARs) delivers results that are technically sound, practical, and regulatory-compliant. We are currently looking for a part-time engineer with an electrical or mechanical background who wants meaningful, hands-on experience in aircraft testing and certification—and who may be interested in pursuing a path as a future DER.

POSITION SUMMARY

As an independent contractor, and commensurate with experience, the Flight Test & Certification Engineer may support full life cycle flight test operations, data analysis, and FAA certification documentation. This role is ideal for a mechanically or electrically inclined engineer looking to develop expertise in flight testing, aircraft systems, and the certification process—with mentorship toward DER qualifications for the right candidate.
