What are we looking for? We are seeking a Flight Test Engineer to be responsible for planning and performing ground and flight tests for all our systems. This person will be responsible for: • System tests: o Understanding the system under test o Formulation of test requirements o Planning the tests, executing them safely and professionally o Participation in data analysis and the formulation of conclusions and recommendations, including presentation to management • Certification: o Understanding airworthiness regulations and processes o Assistance to all other departments in showing compliance with airworthiness regulations o Planning and performing certification flight tests to show compliance with airworthiness regulations o Participation in discussions with airworthiness authorities • Building up test assets and test capabilities to enable BIRD to perform new types of tests Requirements • Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Aeronautical Engineering – Required. • Master's degree (MSc) in Systems Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering – Advantage • At least five years of experience in flight testing – Required. • Experience with military flight testing – an advantage • Experience with certification (FAA, CAAI, EASA) – an advantage • Management experience – An advantage • Willingness to travel abroad • High proficiency in English – speaking, reading and writing
