Description Demonstrates a highly motivated, positive, outgoing personality to ensure that unsurpassed member service is continuously provided by every team member. Maximizes every opportunity to increase membership, refer consumer and real estate loans as well as promote e-services to the membership in the branch. Must possess skills to motivate team members to work together to achieve goals, in the absence of the Branch Manager. The ideal candidate will be required to travel between all branch locations including Contact Center based on staffing needs. Duties & Responsibilities Motivates all team members to provide an unsurpassed level of member service, meeting and exceeding their expectations with every interaction. Ensures a smooth working relationship with other department team members when their assistance is needed. Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity of work. Assigns, directs, coordinates and reviews work. Responsible for having a thorough knowledge of all products and services offered by the credit union, including but not limited to, shares, consumer loans, and e-services. Accurately take applications for Consumer loan products, and provide referrals to the Loan Sales team for Real Estate loan products. Assist in processing and closing Consumer loans. Participates in the Sales Incentive Program. Refer appropriate members to the First New York Retirement and Investments Services Program. Assures both account and loan servicing issues or concerns are processed correctly and resolution is communicated to the member in a timely manner. Illustrates the ability to analyze member problems and find beneficial solutions in a timely manner. Follows and ensures that all team members follow policies and procedures applicable to their positions to maintain compliance with government and credit union regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act. In the absence of the Branch Manager, responsible for determining that proper control and individual accountability of cash and the handling of cash is in accordance with regulations and accepted accounting principles. As assigned, performs routine audits of teller cash, and other negotiable security and branch logs in accordance with written procedures. Oversees branch balancing in conjunction with other branch supervisors. As assigned, ensures that new employees are thoroughly trained in all phases of their particular job. Cross-trains staff as appropriate. Assists the Branch Manager in completing realistic and timely appraisals of team member performance. Supports the Branch Manager in achieving the goals established for the branch. Assists the Branch Manager in attaining all goals related to Community Outreach activities. Handles monthly reports as assigned by the Branch Manager. Conducts reviews of all new memberships to ensure quality control and compliance standards are met. Authorizes exceptions to normal policy or procedures when circumstances warrant and where deviation is justified. Maintain Notary Public, NMLS designation and Signature Guarantee services. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Requirements Must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Financial institution experience is a must. Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate team members. Must possess supervisory capabilities. Should possess detailed knowledge of all branch functions. Must be familiar with banking or credit union policies and procedures. Must be able to respect confidential information. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should have a thorough knowledge of PC software programs and internet navigation. Must be accurate, thorough and neat in work habits. Work Schedule: Monday - Off Tuesday - 8:30am - 5:00pm Wednesday - 8:30am - 5:00pm Thursday - 8:30am - 5:00pm Friday - 8:30am - 6:00pm Saturday - 8:45am - 1:00pm Sunday - Off Work Location: Fully On-Site
