Description Job Summary The Traveling Medical Assistant is responsible for providing top-quality patient care and administrative support across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced, mobile work environment. This position will float between our Wyomissing and Leola practice throughout the week. Essential Functions: Travel to assigned clinic locations as needed to provide medical assistant support. Room patients and updating patient information into EMR system Transcribe for providers during exams Assist with biopsies and select surgical procedures Educate patients on treatment plans Assist with cosmetic procedures Complete prior authorizations for prescriptions, biologics, and procedures Stock rooms with necessary supplies Report biopsy, culture and/or lab results to patients via phone if directed by provider Sanitize all work areas throughout the day and after each patient Send patient visit notes to referring provider/PCP Answer incoming calls when not in a room with a provider Assist office staff with front end tasks if needed Assist with training new Medical Assistants Other duties as assigned Requirements Education, Skills, and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in dermatology or traveling role. Ability to travel frequently to various locations (reliable transportation required). Professional attitude and appearance Solid written and verbal communication skills Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise Excellent organizational skills Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Customer service attitude Experience with practice management software (ie EMA) and Microsoft Office Word and Excel Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
