Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Water Resources professional to join our Perth team. In this role, you’ll contribute to flood modelling, drainage, and water resources assessments across diverse projects in transport, Defence, mining, and energy transition (including wind, solar, and BESS). You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams locally and nationally, while benefiting from mentoring by industry-leading specialists and opportunities to work across Western Australia and nationally. This position suits an engineer with 3 - 7 years’ post-graduate experience looking to further develop their technical skills in a collaborative consultancy environment. How you’ll make a difference Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to support planning, design and approvals Prepare flood studies, drainage assessments, flood impact assessments and technical reports Develop water balance models and hydrological assessment to support mine water management and water yield studies Support the development of solutions for transport infrastructure, mining, Defence facilities, and renewable energy projects Work collaboratively with civil, environmental, mining, transport and planning teams to deliver integrated outcomes Support proposal preparation and contributing to strong client service outcomes Continue to develop your technical skills, industry knowledge and local market understanding. The qualities that help you thrive Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology or related field and 3+ years of relevant professional experience Experience in flood modelling and/or water resources assessments and a strong understanding of floodplain, drainage and catchment processes Competent in the use of TUFLOW and QGIS & a working knowledge of GoldSim Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams Experience with tools such as HEC-RAS, RORB, XPRAFTS, DRAINS, 12d, MUSIC, MIKE or similar and a familiarity with ARR 2019 and Australian drainage guidelines will be highly regarded.
