We foster a culture of flexible working, empowering you to balance work and life while delivering outstanding results. Role accountabilities: * Develop hydrological and hydraulic models (flood modelling) and prepare high-quality reports and documentation. * Collaborate with junior team members while receiving guidance from senior Flooding and Hydrology specialists. * Contribute to projects with flooding components, taking ownership of defined responsibilities—this may include specific elements of a design package. * Review and ensure the accuracy and quality of your own work and that of others. * Access ongoing guidance, training, and feedback through our National Flood Risk Community. * Deliver flood modelling tasks that meet or exceed client expectations in terms of budget, schedule, and quality. Qualification & Experience:  Above all, you share our passion for improving quality of life and take pride in shaping the world around you. You value collaboration and bring technical expertise in flood modelling for major civil infrastructure projects, along with: * Recognised tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline. * 1- 6 years of post-graduate experience, ideally in consulting engineering or a similar local/state government role, with exposure to medium-to-large multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. * Proven experience with TUFLOW (1D, 2D, combined 1D/2D) – essential. * Familiarity with other hydraulic modelling packages such as HEC-RAS – desirable. * Hydrologic analysis experience (e.g., WBNM, RORB, RAFTS, etc.) – desirable. * Proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS, MapInfo, and/or ArcGIS. * Awareness of ARR2019 guidelines. * Ability and enthusiasm to work on multidisciplinary projects. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines. * Membership of relevant professional institutions or significant progress toward eligibility will be highly regarded. * Drainage design experience will also be highly regarded.   Why Arcadis? It's why we are pioneering a skill-based approach, where you can hardness your unique experience and expertise to carve your career path and maximize the impact we can make together.   You'll do meaningful work, and no matter what role, you'll be helping to deliver sustainable solutions for a more prosperous planet.
